School Values and Behaviour
At Caldecote, we are a learning community committed to helping our students reach beyond their grasp. We achieve this by living according to our shared values which create an environment in which all feel safe, welcome and ready to learn.
Our new Behaviour Policy has been welcomed and approved by pupils, staff and governors – please see the link below. The main purpose of our new Behaviour Policy is to ensure that all children are safe and that the school creates a culture where everyone is supported to have positive behaviour. All children should be able to learn in environments that are calm, safe and supportive and are free from disruption. We are committed to inclusivity and implementing strategies that reduce bias and support individual children’s needs. Where ‘parent’ is used in this policy this should be taken to include guardian or carer. Excellent behaviour is achieved through a positive and consistent school culture, underpinned by a commitment to our values:
Care: we respect each other and our school environment.
Challenge: we are ready to learn; we aim high.
Persevere: we are resilient and we don’t give up.
Succeed: we expect the best from everyone; we achieve our goals.
Care, Challenge, Persevere, Succeed - we are Caldecote!
Through our commitment to these values, we prepare our children for the brightest possible futures, equipping them with the motivation, resilience and beliefs needed to succeed.
All members of the school community are expected to create a safe, calm, orderly and positive environment across the school. In order to do this, we display the following values and rules:
