Primary Curriculum

Caldecote Community Primary School uses the National Curriculum to motivate and inspire pupils in daily lessons. Literacy and mathematics are taught as discrete subjects and ICT is used extensively throughout the school, preparing pupils well for their future economic well-being. The National Curriculum combines many foundation subjects, relating learning to real life situations.

Foundation Curriculum

Each curriculum subject is planned for specifically throughout the year based on the outcomes in the National Curriculum for each year group. Often staff will take advantage of links between different subjects to set relevant contexts to these individual subjects. Sometimes a block of work may surround one particular subject. Listed below are the current curriculum overviews for each year group;

Should parents require any more information about individual subjects, year groups or the curriculum as a whole  please don't hesitate to contact the Headteacher in the first instance.
