What happens at lunchtime?

School meals are cooked on the premises and served in the Key Stage 2 Hall. If you are paying for your child’s meal, the money must be sent to school on the Monday for the whole week cost for meals are £1.75 per day and £8.75 per week.

Free meals are available on application to Marlborough House. Forms are available at the school office or you can apply online via the Leicester City Council website. Free meal vouchers are issued if their parents/carers are in receipt of benefits. If parents are unsure about completing one of these forms then help is available at the school office.

At dinnertime, all pupils are looked after by midday supervisors and our Lunch-time Manager whose role is to ensure that lunchtime is a calm and enjoyable experience for all children. Children in Years 5 and 6 can volunteer to be Red Hat play leaders and after training go to play with the Key Stage 1 and younger Key Stage 2 children at lunch times. Midday supervisors run lots of fun activities during the lunchtime period including football, basketball, gardening and other sports activities.
